Aren’t We Clever was thrilled to shoot an interview of a childhood icon yesterday for Meltdown Comics. Zac and Lucas were on assignment to meet Kevin Eastman (no way were they passing this up). Sir Eastman, along with Peter Laird, created the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the early 80′s. To Zac and Lucas, the Turtles are practically an extension of their own DNA. Every box on Christmas contained the newest action figure, cartoon, or “pizza mobile”. Zac, to this day, possesses a copy of every single episode of the original cartoon series and the new series, as well as every movie, and has watched all of them more than once. (Meeting one’s heroes is definitely one of the perks of this job.)
Kevin had some enlightening things to say about the upcoming TMNT film release and forthcoming TV show for Nickelodeon. We don’t want to go give away too much, so you’ll have to wait and get the details of the interview from Meltdown’s web show (Found at http://www.meltcast.com/). Kevin was incredibly humble about his many achievements and a great joy to converse with. He took the time to do a personal hand drawing for every fan waiting in line, giving each adoring follower at least 15 minutes of personal time with an idol. It was truly a pleasure to meet such a genuinely great dude. Check out the pictures below.
